The Swing

My parents were in town over Veteran's Day weekend
and the got to see Simone enjoy swinging in the park
for the first time. She liked it, as evident by the
toothy grin.

Getting Big

At times, Jen and I are taken aback by how big
Simone looks. She is truly taking on the air of
a little girl.

Trick-or-Treat

Jen and I live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, which is a major stop for trick-or-treaters. We estimate that we had roughly 150 kids before we ran out of candy. Many of the junior high kids didn't have costumes and Jen was not giving out candy without a costume this year. However, I'm a little more lenient, so I gave out candy if they performed a trick. One kid pulled an actual egg out of my ear, very impressive. Many of the girls were going as "bamas". Anyone know the term?

The strangest trick-or-treater was a man who was not in a costume per say, but was dressed as a transvestite. He had a couple of kids with him, was drinking a tall Budweiser can in a brown paper bag, and was personally collecting candy for his friend in prison. I gave him candy without any questions.

Our Little Ladybug

Simone spent her first Halloween as a ladybug this year.

Tiny Findings, Simone's daycare, had a Halloween parade through

the halls of GAO. They rolled down all of the main halls on seven

floors, leaving most toddlers, including Simone,

passed out by the end.

Pumpkin Patch

On a warm October weekend, we headed out to a local pumpkin patch to check out the farm animals, take a hay ride, and pick our own pumpkins.
