Catching Up

Leigh-Ann, Chris, and Alex were in DC a few weeks back.

(Truth be told, Leigh-Ann stealthily worked

to bring Jen and me together.) We hadn't seen

them since our wedding in 2000. We lived in Kazakhstan,

they lived in London. They had Alex, we had Simone.

A lot of change.

We went to the zoo, Simone's first trip.

We got to see the sloth bear, pandas,

and elephants.

Dinner Time

Simone started eating rice cereal this weekend.

At first, she wasn't to sure about it,

but after a third of a bowl, she decided she

liked it and starting grunting for more.

I really do mean grunting; sometimes she

can't get the spoon fast enough.

Granny Hits the Town

On Sunday we hit the local coffee shop and

Simone hammed-it-up for some pictures

while we sipped iced drinks.

We like to call this "the Granny Shot".

Her eyes looked so blue against my shirt.

Toes

I couple of weeks ago, feet were merely flying objects

in the periphery. Then they became objects to grab.

And, suddenly, they were objects that can be

crammed in the mouth.
