Here are some first steps from the last week, a little unsteady, but she does have to evade the shark-like lurking of Ella, our pacing canine.

Happy First Birthday Simone!

Simone celebrated her birthday with a carrot cupcake, frosting side first.

Although it doesn't look like anyone was there, I think Simone was a bit surprised at the amount of attention her eating solicited!

She was lucky enough to have her friend Maia come celebrate and play.

Christmas in Minnesota

We spent Christmas in Minnesota this year with the DuBord family.

Meet Lula!

While in Minnesota, we had the chance to meet Lula, the daughter of Eric and Linda and new friend to Simone. Simone and Lula enjoyed playing together so much that Simone cried when Lula left.

Practice Christmas

Before we left DC, Simone practiced her unwrapping skills. She became adept quite quickly!

The Swing

My parents were in town over Veteran's Day weekend
and the got to see Simone enjoy swinging in the park
for the first time. She liked it, as evident by the
toothy grin.
